  1. Hi Alan!

    Hi there Alan!

I just saw the posting for the NERFA guerilla showcases, and I wanted to find out if you’ve already filled out your performer list for this year.

It’s been a wonderful year for me musically – I was a Kerrville finalist, and will be performing at showcase at SWERFA and a Quad at NERFA. I played your after-hours showcase last year (around 4AM I think!!)

I know you have a many artists vying for performance opportunities (your room is always one of my favorites!!), and I’m hoping you’ll consider me for a slot this year.

    A little info on me:

In the past two years, I’ve performed primarily in the
New England area, in venues like Club Passim, the Shalin Liu Center, the Me & Thee Coffeehouse, Tupelo Music Hall, the South Shore Music Circus and the River Club Music Hall.

I have opened for or shared the stage with acts like Bill Kirchen,
David Wilcox, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Ellis Paul, Paula Cole,
Melissa Ferrick, Amy Grant, Rose Cousins and the Pousette-Dart

I’ve been a Songwriting prof at Berklee College of Music for the past 15 years, and have taught master clinics at FAI, SERFA, and Berklee LA.

Thanks so much and I look forward to hearing back from you.

Sorry. I post only sporadically here and hadn’t seen this comment. The short answer is that we had way too many folks for this years showcase before I even started to book it. I’m embarrassed to say that I don’t remember you. But that’s not a reflection on you. It’s a long, sleep deprived weekend and I meet so many people in each NERFA. I hope you can join us again at open circle. Be sure to introduce yourself one on one this year. Have a great NERFA!

      • Hi Alan!

Thanks for getting back! Ha, you don’t remember me!! I appreciate the honesty and will make sure to connect with you in Kerhonkson this weekend. I will also definitely be part of your late night in the rounds and hope to get on your radar then! All the best and see you soon! xo Susan πŸ™‚

  2. Hey there Alan,

I’m Eliza Shillieto and I was playing around a bit at last years Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. I spoke to you and a gentlemen from one of the radio tents on the last day. You gave me a business card but I unfortunately did not think I would be able to make it to this year’s Festival and it was lost in the sauce! I figured I’d send a message over to you here and let you know that I’ve submitted to the newcomers stage and am looking forward to heading the the festival this year. I’d love to get involved in playing at your tent πŸ™‚ Chat soon.
